New Features: Educational Searches and Upload Management

We have just added the following features to LiveBinders:

  1. Better searching for educational binders – You can now find educational binders by topic and grade level.  Under “LiveBinder Categories” on the “Featured Binders” page, click on “*More Education.”  You can also share these searches with others.  Try it here.

Colors added to LiveBinders

Thanks to all the requests from the LiveBinders community, this is our first step to making LiveBinders more personally customizable – new colors!

In the edit menu, under properties, there is a pull-down menu to select the color:

Thanks to everyone for sending in those requests!

Comments Added to LiveBinders

Here is where the comment will be inserted in your binder:

We want to thank everyone who participated in our Earth Day – Go Paperless podcast. Here is the binder with the podcast and other great resources for going paperless in the classroom:

Happy Earth Day!

We are celebrating Earth Day with a podcast with Dean Mantz featuring thoughts and ideas about going paperless in the classroom. We were very fortunate to be joined by Steve Katz and Elaine Plybon who shared their experiences and ideas. We also got a great recording from Joquetta Johnson on her promotion of the paperless classroom as a librarian. Thank you to all who participated!

This binder has the podcast and lots of resources to help educators go paperless:

More than 20 Tabs added to LiveBinders

We wanted to let you know that we have added several new features to LiveBinders over the last few weeks:
More tabs – You are no longer limited to 20 tabs in your binder.  Now, when you go over 20 tabs, there will be arrows on either side that let you scroll through your tabs:

Present mode – You can use present mode from within a binder. This mode is great for classroom use to show the binder content with no distractions.

Share your shelf – We have made it easier to share your public shelf with a link in the “My Binders” tab.

Easier to use FAQ – Have questions about LiveBinders?  Our updated FAQ should help you find the answers:
