LiveBinders has an age restriction because we are not allowed to collect email addresses from children who are under 13. Unfortunately, we need an email address in case a student forgets their password.
You can work around this however, if you have a gmail account. You can sign up your students using your gmail account and you will get the forgotten password email. The way you do this is by appending your student name after your name with a “+” to your gmail account on our sign up form. It would look something like this: “email@example.com”
Alec Couros, a Professor at the University of Regina, put together a great video on how to use this gmail feature.
Please note that this will also work if your school is using google apps for email. So your email may be a school address, but since you are using google, it will work the same way.

We added two new colors to LiveBinders today, Steel-Tan and Steel-Blue.
To use the new colors, just use the pull-down menu under Edit Menu > Properties > Color. Then click on “Update”.
We also simplified finding the “Start a Blank Binder” page and the “LiveBinder It” page, so that both are visible from any of the main pages.
We are still working on your other requests and feedback, so please keep those coming!
